It has been very hot in school for the last few days which has been lovely but lots of children have been very thirsty, especially after play times and asking for a drink. As you know we have water fountains in school for the children to use, however Mr Thomas has said that we are not to provide a shared drinking cup for the children to use at the water fountain- this is to prevent the spread of illnesses such as stomach bugs.
Please send your child to school with a sports bottle which they can fill from the water fountain and keep in school. Please make sure your child's name is written on the bottle. Mrs Lock sells water bottles for £1.50 or if you had one of these last year and would like to replace the lid these can be purchased for 50p.
I can't stress how vital it is for the children to be hydrated, it helps with their concentration no end!!!
