This week we started to think about our topic- Warriors, we worked in groups to put historical periods into a timeline- every group got these in the right order. Mrs Griffiths was very impressed with us! We came to the conclusion that Warriors might be about the Romans, Mrs Griffiths explained that it would be about the Romans and also about the Iron Age Celts who lived in Britain when the Romans invaded.
We tried to imagine how long ago 2000 years was- we went outside and decided that if a 1 metre ruler was 10 years then we would need to measure 200 metres to see what 2000 years looked like. Mrs Griffiths sent Cloe and Daniel F off with a trundle wheel to measure out 200 metres, they started on the playground and had to stop at 123 metres when they got to the fence at the top of the field! It was a very long way away!!

Mrs Griffiths chose him because he always contributes to class discussions and comes up with good answers. Our Welsh speaker of the week hasn't been announced yet- Mr O'Brien will do it in assembly on Monday.
