First day in Year 3

We all enjoyed our first day in Year 3 even Mrs Griffiths!

We talked about how important it is to have rules in school and what they are for, we thought of lots of rules that would keep us safe and allow us to do our work while we are in the classroom. We voted on which ones we thought were most important. We chose:

1. Hands up, don't shout out.
2. Listen first time.
3. Keep the classroom tidy.

Mrs Griffiths is going to put them up on our display so we can all remember them.

Next we gave out houses and house point cards. Thomas was the first person to earn a house point from Mrs Griffiths for being very polite and being the first person to say "Diolch" when he was given a sheet- he was very pleased to earn a point for Celynnog.

We are also trying to collect lots of Draig Fynci (Funky Dragons) for speaking Welsh. Jessie earned the first one of these by asking Ble mae rwber? (Where is the rubber?) when we collect 9 dragons we get a dip in the goodie box!

This afternoon we decorated our Fantasticats- these are going on display in the classroom. We are all going to write about what we are fantastic at and add this to the display too. Here are some examples of our work:

Pop back soon to see the finished display!

See you all tomorrow.
Mrs Griffiths
